Blushing Books

We are, in fact, the oldest web-based romance and romance erotica publisher. We have been in business since 1991, and sold erotica through mail-order from '91 through '98, at which point we moved to web-based publishing via a membership site model. We opened our first e-book store in 2001. We currently represent around 350 professional romance authors who have met the RWA minimum guidelines.

The Substitute Mommy by Dort Wesley

Maggie is overcome with emotion that her little girl is actually old enough to start first grade, and it brought back all the old memories of how she became a mother at the tender age of fifteen! She had moved to protect her daughter and to keep the promise she made to raise Charity as her own, and then moved again when someone she knew spotted her and started vicious rumors that weren't true. She was happy in the small town, and when she met the teacher's son, she couldn't help responding to him.

Nathaniel is completely taken with the pretty seamstress, but he was sure she was hiding something. He was tempted to take her over his knee to learn the truth, but he was afraid Maggie would refuse to have anything further to do with him if he gave her a spanking. She had made it clear what she thought of a man spanking a grown woman! She thought it despicable, and it made him wonder if her deceased husband beat her.

Finally, the inevitable happened, and Maggie was faced with telling Nathaniel the truth. She feared losing his love, but she would not give up her daughter, not for any man! The child was hers in every way that mattered.

His Little Courtesan by Breanna Hayse

On A Midnight Clear is a holiday companion piece to Rebekah's Winter. While Rebekah Boyce was enduring the hard winter of 1777, at Valley Forge, under the strict tutelage of Captain Wallace Adair, about twenty miles away, Charlotte Brooks, one of three daughters of a wealthy Tory family, is having her own personal struggle.

While all Charlotte wants to do is celebrate the holidays with her family like they used to do, she is caught between her loyalties to the Crown that was so good to her and her family and her brother's Patriot sympathies. The problem is compounded for Harlan Hunter Brooks, Charlotte's father, who is in the impossible position of choosing sides between his loyalties to the King, his hotheaded son, and his headstrong daughter.

Charlotte's suitor, Thaddeus Byrd, promises her father that he will properly deal with his daughter. Thaddeus is also on the fence about the conflict. But when he sees what is happening to the woman he loves, his mind is made up for him. With Tadd's discipline and guidance, the couple must still must go down a long road, including a midnight journey on Christmas Eve , before they can properly celebrate the holidays.

The Lawman by Vanessa Vale

Ellen Oldsmere, believing she'd killed an overly amorous suitor, agreed to become a mail order bride for a complete stranger in the Montana Territory in order to flee Minneapolis and avoid prosecution. When she arrives in August Point, her husband is all that she'd imagined, and then some. He's handsome, virile and sexually skilled. But there's a problem for this new bride; her new husband is also the town sheriff. How can she be married to a man who would surely arrest her if he found out her secret?

As the most eligible bachelor in town, Ryder Graves is determined to not fall prey small town mothers eager to match him with their marriage- hungry daughters. He wants more than what is available in August Point. His needs demand a wife meeting certain criteria women in town do not possess, so he seeks the help of an expert--a madame with a skill for matchmaking. When Eleanor arrives from Minnesota, she meets all of his expectations. She's also headstrong and defiant, requiring a stern spanking or two to teach her that - as the lawman of August Point - it is his job to keep her safe. It comes down to a matter of right from wrong. But his wife is not all she seems. Will he still want her when he learns the truth, or will his passion for the law make her face the consequences of her actions?

In this follow-up to her best-selling"Montana Maidens" series, author Vanessa Vale offers more of what readers have come to love with more hot power exchange and sex on the windswept Western plains.

Miss Summer's School by Maggie Ryan

Miss Eleanor Summers runs an exclusive finishing school, made special not only by the caliber of her clients, who include such notable members of Victorian society as Lord Edward Wintercrest, Lord Lucas Huntington and Headmaster Charles Lloyds, but also by the types of lessons she provides to her pupils.

Her clients come from all stations in life, but they all have one thing in common: a deep passion for what she can teach her students. For every girl who sits in a classroom, bends over a chair to have her bottom reddened, or stands with her nose to the wall to contemplate her behavior, is special. These women need more than a husband to fulfill all their needs - they need a firm and loving Papa, as well.

After searching for over a year, Lord Maximilian Hollister believes he has not only found the girl he's been seeking, he's certain he's found the very woman he's been looking for his entire life. The question is, will Alexandria Bannister agree with him?

Can she find it in her heart to trust the words she's memorized from her only legacy from her father - letters now singed and faded? Can she admit to the deep and shameful desires her new journey is arousing in her? When Lord Hollister enrolls her as a pupil, is she ready to be the newest student at Miss Summers' school? And will her classmates be able to help her understand that the lessons she learns there will serve her well?

The school does not merely provide an education - it also provides a choice; and a chance to discover how passion and the need to serve can lead to the kind of fulfillment Alexandria would never have dreamed of before she entered this unique establishment.

From best-selling Victorian ageplay author Maggie Ryan comes the first book in her new 'Lessons in Submission' series; a detailed glimpse into Miss Summers' School, where discipline is harsh but the rewards delicious. As fans of her 'Women of Wintercrest' and 'Hunter's Ridge' books will recognise, this is a spin-off of those series, with some familiar - and plenty of new characters.
