We are, in fact, the oldest web-based romance and romance erotica publisher. We have been in business since 1991, and sold erotica through mail-order from '91 through '98, at which point we moved to web-based publishing via a membership site model. We opened our first e-book store in 2001. We currently represent around 350 professional romance authors who have met the RWA minimum guidelines.

An Author's Angst by Maggie Ryan
Venia's world has revolved around words as long as she can remember. She used words of love with her first husband and used words of comfort to ease their daughter's pain at his untimely death. As a mentor in the spanking community of Corbin's Bend, she's called upon her extensive experience with words to both soothe, comfort, scold, and coax those newly arrived residents. Hosting the local book club for the taken-in-hands of the community gives her an opportunity to add more words to her vocabulary. She absolutely adores words until the day they disappear. Facing a severe case of writer's block, she is feeling lost until she makes a decision. If the words won't come to her, she'll go to them.
Deciding to strike out in a new direction, her next book will focus on the horrifying aspect of some scientific experiment going terribly wrong. All she needs is a bit of help and finds it in Dina, after all, who better than a chemist to give her some very scary facts. Dina, like everyone who has ever met Venia, adores the older woman. Seeing a chance to do a bit of match making on her own, she insists she knows the perfect person for Venia to interview. Jeffrey Humphries is not only her boss and the lab manager where they both work, he is also single and living in Corbin's Bend.
The two meet, and it doesn't take long for Venia to discover that the man is no pushover. He has definite ideas about what makes a book worth reading and has no hesitation in making his point even if it means turning the tables on Venia. Venia is a bit shocked to discover the man has a way with words himself and has to decide if the price of breaking through her writer's block is worth the angst of loving another man who is ready, willing, and, oh so very able to turn her over his knees. Will she accept the new words he wishes to write upon her heart - and her backside?
Courted by Time by Bree Cariad
With her courting year over and no men on the horizon, DeLynn Straynar decides to do something different with her life and signs up to attend college in Longdale an hour away. Her first day there, she runs into Zachary Styles, the school's single chaplain and feels attracted, but quickly tries to convince herself she feels nothing for him. Until they meet again and again. With school taking up so much of her attention, she tries to focus just on it, but ignoring the gorgeous brown-eyed man is difficult and she's not sure she wants to.
Zachary is twenty-five and working toward his doctorate in divinity. While aware of Hyacinth, he never imagined he would physically discipline anyone, until falling for DeLynn. She thinks getting courted will be the hardest part, but their courting year turns out to be fraught with trouble. From her best friend running away from home, to trying to figure out who she is in an environment so unlike the one she grew up in, the entire year is filled with stress. She keeps hoping that in time, everything will work itself out.
Unfortunately, time can only fix so much and as her anxiety goes through the roof and she finds herself in a manic mode she cannot stop, it doesn't take long before she realizes that while sometimes she needs to figure things out on her own, there are also times she needs to hand the reins over to someone else.
About the series "In Hyacinth" by Bree Cariad:
Hyacinth, Washington is all about old-fashioned values. In Hyacinth words like trust, honor, and kindness aren't just buzzwords. Hyacinth is a community built on tradition and trust, where men are the head of the home and women are encouraged to follow their lead.
Each story in the series is of a young woman (18-20) and her struggle to figure out who she is in this little town while at the same time going through Hyacinth's old-fashioned courting system. On their way to meet, get to know, and finally marry their princes, these heroines grow in ways they and their town never expected.
